In my first post about these buildings (1742) we had a look at the first building on the ground floor. Today we examine the three higher floors. But first let me show a picture of the all buildings, found on isihazm.ru, date unknown. The skull of Saint Silouan is venerated as a relic in the Panteleimonos monastery.
Climb the stone stairs to reach the second building
On the second building hangs a large balcony on the outside wall: going there would not be a good idea!
The interior of building two: again a large wheel with cogwheels. I did not try to climb the stairs to the second floor!
Between building two and three: here the balconies disappeared totally.
Building three
One floor higher: looking down at building three
Building three: the interior
Looking down: building three and two
The east side of building three: here the water wheels were attached to the walls
Between building three and four: this part is well kept and the door was locked.
Broken windows in building four
Building four: the water wheel is still intact
Building four: west side
Millstones for grinding grain (also the painting in the previous post – image 5)
The balconies of building four at the west side
The door of building four, also locked. A large brass sieve(?) on the foreground.
Building four seen from above
Building four with its water wheel on the left
The water wheel of building four in detail
A water reservoir above building four
Next to the reservoir: a ruined house. This (fifth) house is found on the black and white picture in the previous post (image four)
In the bushes: a wall of the ruined building
Just above the water reservoir leads the paved road towards Paleo Monastirion
Looking down to the West: the iron bridge near Panteleimonos
The same area, screenshot Google Earth. The water reservoir is to be seen above the four buildings as dark square.

Fascinating pictures of the times changing! The Athos seems inexhaustible,as your entries show time and again, mr Wim Voogd. Many thanks.
Great!!
By chance I saw these recent (Jan. 2022) pictures of the water mill, see https://www.google.nl/maps/place/%CE%9F+%CE%BD%CE%B5%CF%81%CF%8C%CE%BC%CF%85%CE%BB%CE%BF%CF%82+%CF%84%CE%B7%CF%82+%CE%99.+%CE%9C%CE%BF%CE%BD%CE%AE%CF%82+%CE%91%CE%B3%CE%AF%CE%BF%CF%85+%CE%A0%CE%B1%CE%BD%CF%84%CE%B5%CE%BB%CE%B5%CE%AE%CE%BC%CE%BF%CE%BD%CE%BF%CF%82/@40.241917,24.1968308,3a,75y/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipN3favHGcyzoUpKpNIyypFRi6sbvopJ4_cLvbDp!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipN3favHGcyzoUpKpNIyypFRi6sbvopJ4_cLvbDp%3Dw360-h480-k-no!7i1536!8i2048!4m5!3m4!1s0x14af4b29ea7567e3:0x6a43438362dd640e!8m2!3d40.241917!4d24.1968308?hl=nl
