Frédéric Boissonas (1858-1944) travelled in 1928 and 1930 to Greece and made photo’s on the holy mountain.
This looks like St. Basil (Ag. Vasiliou) near Chilandariou.

Misschien een beetje dom, maar welk klooster is op de bovenste foto afgebeeld ?

Ik ben wel eens een kleurenfoto tegen komen toen kon ik het ook niet plaatsen. Ik laat hem nog even staan misschien komt er een reactie.
De bovenste foto toont Xenofontos. Ondertussen wordt er tegen de hoge blinde muur ten noorden van de kerk een volledige nieuwe vleugel gebouwd.
Bedankt Bertinos. Ik realiseer me nu dat ik Xenophontos nooit bezocht heb! En ik weet nu waar ik bij een volgend bezoek aan Athos naar toe ga !
