On our last day of our recent pilgrimage we hiked from Stavronikita to Karyes. Soon after leaving the monastery we encounterd a deserted building, see light blue pin on the map below, with latitude 40.2625 and longitude 24.2564.stavronikita 1

I know the place. It is deserted for some years. The kelli became a ruine. The last three years the kelli has been restaurated.

Time flies. There is a stone on the outside in the apsis with inscription reading: renovated 2010 (ανεκαινισθη 2010)
