Thanks to my good friend Jitze Bakker I now can share his pictures of our Athos pilgrimage in September 2014. He was able to shoot some pictures of the interior of the Protaton. We thought we could see it without scaffoldings, but to our surprize the restauration activities continue, not only outside the church! But it was great joy to be able to see the “Sixtine chapel”of the Orthodox church and the magnificant murals of Panselinos again, after waiting for so many years!
