This is the right spot on one of the balconies of Simonaspetras to have a great view on the mountain. This photo ts taken during the first Wold War by the Frenchman Millet. This is how Polykleitos Regos (Greek, 1903-1984) saw it in his painting: Athos as viewed from Simonopetra’s main balcony 75 x 101 cm.
