The tower in Ouranopoli was the home to an Australian couple, Sidney and Joice Loch, whom we paid earlier attention in this weblog.

Today I will show you some pictures of Joice Nankivell Loch, who lived in the tower till 1982 (died at 94 years old).Joice Nankivell Loch: picture by Jan Paul ten Bruggencate, who met her in her home in May 1969 – 82 years old. After her death her special books with examples of fabrics and tapestery were donated to the British Museum (from the Zwerger book – Wege am Athos).
