    Hi Wim,

It looks (the third photo) very much like the old Chimeion (Pharmacy) of St. Andrews Skete (Sarai) as I remember it when I was there in 1992-1995. At the time the Skete was inhabited by one lay person (Polichronis) who was the care taker, prior to Fr. Paul’s arrival and the subsequent commencement of rejuvenation works at the Skete.
As for the other two photos, I assume that they were taken in the crypt of the Skete’s cemetery, not sure though.
All photos are definately of Russian buildings based on the design of the windows, cabinets and interior walls.

Ok I just had a look at the photos on Jean Christophe Ballot’s website, and the location is definately St. Andrews Skete, he has taken some lovely pictures.

A (small) fire is reported from a kellí of I.M. Vatopedíou, on the eve of Christmas, see: http://www.zougla.gr/page.ashx?pid=2&aid=89841&cid=4
