Our fellow Athos-blogger from Greece is lucky: he lives near the Holy Mountain and visits the peninsula on a regular basis. Yesterday he showed these pictures on his blog (nr 280).
The Roe deer calf was found not far from Xerapotamou and next to its mother – who died in labour – and is 30 days old now. The calf was brought to a surrounding kellion, where monks took care of it.
