In 1997 we walked on our first day from Docheiariou to Paulou. We did not stay long in Docheiariou and Xenofontos.

Then we came at Panteleimonos. Further to Dafni for a drink in the bar. Then the path becomes a less interesting dirt road.

At Simonis Petras they were friendly and they gave us coffee, water and raki.

Then again the mule paths.

Mules

We passed Grigoriou and then Dionisiou was in sight. Checking the map because it looked not far away but it was still a long walk. This was a beautiful but tough part.

Finally our destination Paulou. The last kilometers we rode in the back of a truck. Pretty exhausted as we were after 35 kilometers. It was a beautiful hike with 7 monasteries on the way.
