This 27 minutes English spoken film showes images of the 1997 exhibition in Thessaloniki: Treasures of Mount Athos, a procession with, I believe, the patriarch and monks bringing relics to a boat so that female pilgrims are able to venerate the objects. Here is the film by Christine Schiwietz.

leuk een memorabele wandeling en unieke foto’s: de view van boven (foto 058)op het klooster kom je niet tegen op het internet. Niemand maakt deze wandelingen zo lijkt het.
Foto 49 is volgens mij niet het katholikon van S Petras, maar wel van Grigoriou met de typisch bruinrode muren en ronde torentjes. Ook foto 50 werd volgens mij genomen in de guestroom van Grigoriou. Of heb ik het verkeerd voor ?
Overigens vind ik het bewonderenswaardig dat je na al die maanden nog al dat materiaal op jullie blog plaatst. Echt heel interessant. Ik kijk er nog regelmatig naar.
