362 – The history of Amalfi

Amalfi ( and not Philotheou)
An article called: Amalfion, Western rite monastery of Mt. Athos written by Fr. Hieromonk Aiden Keller tells us the history of this once powerfull monastery.
He writes what is still left of this monastery: The tower blazoned with a heraldic eagle (carved in white marble near the towers summit), some fragments of the southwest wall and a bit of the cemetery.
More pictures of the tower.
