A scarce account of a tour, by bicycle, through the Balkans before the Second World War.
Starting in Vienna, the author travelled to Fiume, along the coast to Split and Dubrovnik with a side-excursion to Sarajevo, then through Albania to Greece and Turkey including Salonica, thence Mt Athos and finally to Istanbul. The author stayed 40 days on Athos en climbed the peak.The book is published in 1937 and is now for sale on Ebay.

Nastojatelju ieroschimonachou Panteleimonou s brati.. bedeutet: Vorsteher Priestermxf6nch Panteleimon und Brxfcder.
In einem griechischen Buch ist das Kellion auf Seite 285 im Kapitel x84Provata” mit seinem Turm und der Kirche mit Kuppel fotografisch abgebildet. Es ist eindeutig das auf der Quittung abgebildete Gebxe4udeensemble. Im Kapitel x84Karakalou” auf Seite 283 ist das Kellion erwxe4hnt.
Das Kellion liegt im Gebiet Provata, gehxf6rt aber zum Kloster Karakalou. Auf Griechisch heixdft es Iero Kelli Timiou Stavrou und sein Vorsteher ist Mxf6nch Nikolaos. Es hat die Telefonnummer 23770 23770 .
In einem griechischen Fxfchrer ist die Lage des Kellions skizziert. xdcbertragen auf die Landkarte von Reinhold Zwerger liegt das Kellion dort wo die Buchstaben Sk.
